TORONTO, June 6, 2018 /CNW/ - Dome Productions, one of North America's leading production facilities providers, announced today that broadcast footage from the G7 Summit in Charlevoix, Québec will be produced in 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) 2160p60 resolution. For some of the principle areas of coverage, Dome will be producing and capturing in UHD High Dynamic Range (HDR) format.
As announced earlier this year, Dome Productions won the contract to provide host broadcaster services for the G7 Summit, June 8 and 9. Today's announcement is expected to mark the first time that the leaders of the G7 member countries are captured in UHD HDR based on Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR format, promising the best possible picture quality for live broadcast.

"This milestone is proof that Dome Productions continues to be on the forefront of innovation and technology in Canada and for the world stage."
Dome began providing G7 host broadcast services in 1995 and produced the first high definition broadcast of the leaders of the G8 Muskoka and G20 Toronto in 2010.
